TwentyTwo has joined CoreNet Global NZ as a Gold Sponsor.
CoreNet is an international association (in 50 countries) of 'corporate real estate' professionals, with the purpose of advancing the knowledge and understanding of corporate real estate as a discipline within the wider property industry.
Dean Croucher explains: “Corporate real estate (or CRE) is a relatively new sub-discipline providing an end user/business-centric lens on the real estate/property needed by businesses (corporates), while most of the real estate industry is more supply-side focused (development, investment etc). We’ve had a long association with CoreNet back to the early 2000’s, being one of the first NZ members (to what was then known as 'IDRC') and attending international conferences to broaden our knowledge and perspectives”.
The NZ Chapter’s specific focus for 2023 includes a renewed structure and delivering great events. It hopes to grow the profile, presence and capabilities of young leaders, with our very own Steffi McKeown having won the first CoreNet Global NZ Young Leader of the Year award last October. It also aims to provide high-quality knowledge events and professional development including Diversity, Equity and Inclusivity – in line with TwentyTwo’s focus on Diversity & Inclusion with TwentyTwo taking the Pride Pledge.
As well as attending and representing TwentyTwo at NZ Chapter events in 2023, members of our Tribe also plan on speaking at CoreNet NZ events starting with David Lambie at the CoreNet Symposium 2023 in May.
David will share the story of how Tauranga City Council is seeking to reinvigorate and regenerate the core CBD through case studies such as Te Manawataki o Te Papa – the Civic Centre development – and 90 Devonport Road commercial office.
Members of the TwentyTwo Tribe will kick off by attending the first Wellington signature event (‘Predictions and Resolutions’) of the year on 23 February.
