We’re proud to have recently supported Chorus, New Zealand’s leading telecommunications infrastructure provider, in securing a new anchor lease in the Christchurch CBD — a strategic move that reinforces their commitment to the region and contributes to the ongoing revitalisation of the city’s commercial heart.
From the outset, the TwentyTwo Advisory22 team worked closely with Chorus to lead a comprehensive market search and analysis, identifying options that aligned with their accommodation brief, future growth, and desired footprint.
Following the market evaluation and procurement process, TwentyTwo continued its partnership with Chorus — acting as commercial lead between Chorus and Portus / Anthony Leighs (developer of 211 High Street). Our role included negotiating and finalising amicable commercial terms and ensuring a robust documentation process, all while fostering a strong, long-term partnership between the parties.
The new premises at 211 High Street will provide Chorus with a modern, sustainable workplace environment designed to support collaboration, innovation, and flexibility — perfectly aligned with their role at the forefront of New Zealand’s digital infrastructure.
We look forward to watching Anthony and his team continue to bring this innovative timber-structured building to life, and to celebrating again when Chorus moves into their new top-floor workspace.
We are proud to play our part in helping Chorus shape the future of connectivity across New Zealand — and to continue contributing to the transformation and vibrancy of Christchurch’s city centre.
