Sports on the move in Auckland

04 June 2015, by Chris Ware

After working with Sport New Zealand to develop a framework to house sporting agencies in one location and develop a 'Sports Hub', TwentyTwo has helped Sport NZTriathlon NZAktive Sport and Hockey NZ to secure a lease for new premises in Eden Business Park.

Chris Ware, Senior Adviser at TwentyTwo, acted for Sport NZ in negotiating the transaction which included suitable, quality premises for the agencies and a landlord base-build works package.

Eden Real Estate Ventures now own the building, which has recently undergone a seismic upgrade programme by the previous owner, with the agencies set to occupy 837m2 on the ground floor.

They have appointed Khaya Interior Design as their interior design and fitout consultants and Emerald Project Management to manage the project and transition of the agencies.

Chris says, "It was rewarding to see the vision completed and I now look forward to watching cost savings and synergies between the sporting organisations all working together under one roof".

Completion of the fitout and occupation is scheduled for late April 2015.
